Fawad Chaudhry tests negative for coronavirus

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Fawad Chaudhry, announced on Tuesday that he had tested negative for the novel coronavirus.

In a tweet posted from his account, the minister said that he had recently been exposed to a friend who had tested positive after the meeting. In his tweet Fawad Chaudhry also wrote that he had observed all safety protocols, including wearing masks and sitting at a distance of eight feet.

He thanked God and credited the precautions for his negative result.

Early in the week, Federal Minister for Railways, Sheikh Rasheed, and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqqan Abassi had also tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Both are now self-isolating at their respective homes.
